PhD Topic:

Growing up in UK Exile: An Analysis of Ambiguous Identities in Kindertransport Diaries. I'm investigating diaries written during the war years and immediate post-war years with the aim of illustrating the development of ambiguous identities. Theories on everyday life and diary writing build the theoretical background of my project. Building on view that the diary not only suctions as a medium but also practice and space, I aim to highlight how this influences notions of self, home, and belonging.
