Project summary:
Since 1964, the History of Parliament Trust has been researching and publishing one of the most highly regarded works of historical reference. Its volumes provide summary biographies of Members of Parliament, surveys of politics and elections in each constituency, and introductory material from the fourteenth century to the nineteenth. We are currently working on periods in the fifteenth, seventeenth and nineteenth centuries.

Now it is online. The History of Parliament Online contains the 21,420 biographies and the 2,831 constituency surveys published by the History of Parliament so far. New material added for the online version includes a growing collection of images, some new introductory articles on individual parliaments, and interpretative articles on events and concepts of significance for parliamentary history.
