Summary of research interests and expertise:

 Helen Codd’s research focuses on socio-legal and criminological questions in relation to prisons, prisoners and prisoners’ families. She is also interested in gender, human rights and in international perspectives on criminal justice. Her work has been cited in argument by counsel before the Grand Chamber of the European Court of Human Rights and she has contributed to a number of significant reports on prisoners’ families.
